Near the north end of Viera, and part of The Villages of Viera East, is the popular community of Bennington. Bennington is a non-gated neighborhood with 93 single family homes built out from 2001 through 2003 by Burgoon Berger, Lennar Homes and Pulte Homes. Lots in Bennington tend to be about 75’ wide by about 115’ deep and were nicely developed around 4 lakes and a wildlife sanctuary. About 80% of the homes enjoy sparkling water views from the lakes throughout the community or peaceful views of the wildlife sanctuary along the south side of the neighborhood. Homes range in size from about 2,000 square feet to over 3,300 square feet with 1 story and 2 story options. All homes in Bennington are of concrete block construction with 2 or 3 car garages, 3, 4 or even 5 bedrooms and typically 2 or 3 bathrooms. Bennington has underground natural gas lines and most homes in the community are already plumbed for natural gas. All homes have in-ground sprinkler systems with access to reclaimed water for lawn and landscape irrigation. Bennington does not have a community pool or playground so homeowner’s association dues are lower than many other neighborhoods. About 3/4 of the homes in Bennington have their own private in-ground pools.
